| Description | Project Summary Description: This project is to replace the asphalt shingled roof at Union Station and perform the following maintenance and repair at Fort Ward and Union Station: 1. Union Station: a. Remove and replace asphalt shingle roofing with new slate/synthetic slate shingles in full, including slate siding at dormers. b. Install self-adhering rubberized asphalt sheet membrane and metal cap at open ridge joints at the metal roofing. c. Remove, repair, repaint and reinstall/ replace wood trim at dormers and louvers. d. Clean all debris from roof gutters. e. Remove and reset gutter sections to provide positive drainage. f. Solder open seam in existing copper gutter. g. Cut out and replace sealant joint at counterflashing. h. Perform miscellaneous maintenance and repair work |
