Escalator Restorative Cleaning Project

Scope: For the purposes of this solicitation, restorative cleaning is defined to mean the full and complete removal of all surface dirt, grime, oil, dust, debris, stains, and any other foreign matter from all treads, risers, floor landing plates (pit covers) and handrails. Work should be completed in such a manner to ensure that all surfaces are cleaned from edge to edge, including the areas directly under the side brushes. While it will be up to the contractor to determine the means and methods to accomplish this scope, it is anticipated that the work may require the use of cleaning machines, hand brushes, degreasers, neutral cleaners, and other appropriate cleaning tools and methods. Each proposer must identify the tools, machines and chemicals that they propose to use, each of which will be subject to GWCC approval to ensure that escalators are not damaged.
