Description | Notice is hereby given to all interested parties that the City of Martinsville, Indiana Redevelopment Commission is seeking sealed bid proposals for construction of the Robin Road-Hacker Drive Sanitary Sewer Extension. The sewer main will connect at an existing sanitary manhole in Rogers Road, 600 feet East of the Waste Water Treatment Plant within the corporate limits of the City of Martinsville, Indiana. All bids shall be based on specifications prepared by Holloway Engineering, P.O. Box 234, Mooresville, Indiana by Ross O. Holloway, P.E. Work shall consist, in part, of construction of approximately 1,250 lineal feet of open trench 8-inch sanitary sewer; Thirteen (13) sanitary manholes, with castings; 2,610 lineal feet of open trench 4-inch force main; 410 lineal feet of horizontal directional drilled 4-inch force main; 786 lineal feet of 2-inch horizontal directional drilled force main and one sanitary lift station. Contractor shall submit their bid on the "Indiana Bid Form 96" which is provided with contract documents. Contractor's bid shall show a bid cost for each item of work required in the itemized bid proposal of the Contract Specification. Bid price for said items of work shall include all materials, labor, equipment, bonds, insurance and any other items needed to complete the work to the satisfaction of the City of Martinsville. Contractor shall submit with their bid proof of general liability insurance in an amount not less than $5,000,000. On Indiana Bid Form 96, only Part I and Part II Sections IV (Non-Collusion Affidavit) and Section V (Oath and Affirmation) are required. Within seven days after award of the project the Contractor shall submit to the City of Martinsville a certificate of general liability insurance showing the City of Martinsville as an additional insured for an amount of not less than $5,000,000. Contractor will be required to provide a one (1) year maintenance surety (bond, irrevocable letter of credit or escrowed funds) in the amount of $50,000 prior to release of the final payment. Sealed bids must be submitted to the City of Martinsville Redevelopment Commission no later than 7:30 a.m., local time, on November 9, 2022 to the Martinsville City Hall, 59 So. Jefferson St., Martinsville, Indiana. If the bid is mailed the sealed bid must be placed inside a separate mailing envelop. The City of Martinsville reserves the right to waive all bid technicalities and accept the bid that is in the best interest of the City of Martinsville. For every day after 180 calendar days that the work is not completed, the Contractor will be charged liquidated damages in the amount of $500 per calendar day. |
