Description

The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Removal of existing 2x4 lights in the main (exhibit) hall and replacement with new 2x4 lights. 2. Removal of existing can lights in the main (exhibit) hall and replacement with dimmable cans lights and controls. 3. Saw cutting and removal of portions of the main (exhibit) hall concrete floor slab, installation of in-floor electrical devices and distribution, work at adjacent power panels for new electrical, backfill of removed portions of concrete floor slab with new concrete, patch/recoat of floor with high-performance coating system. 4. Bid alternate for demolition of existing lobby-area aluminum framed storefronts and entrances and replacement with new aluminum framed glazed curtainwall and aluminum framed storefront entrances. a. Refer to Section 012300 “Alternates”. 5. Temporary protection of areas adjacent to work to prevent damage to existing building and interior. 6. Protection of atrium garden-area paving, plants, and fountain from damage during the removal of the existing storefront and installation of the new curtainwall. 7. Performance of all work in the presence of City of Longview Inspector. 8. Securing of building throughout construction. 9. Any and all incidental work necessary to construct the Work described in the drawings and specifications. 10. Allowances: Refer to Section 012100 “Allowances” for allowance to be included in base bid.
