Edgewood Road Water Main Extension

This project will consist of all work necessary for the installation of a new 6" ductile iron potable water main pipe connection from an existing 6" cast iron pipe plug on Edgewood Road to an existing 6" cast iron pipe plug on Fern Road. This project includes but is not limited to: installation of water main, fittings, valves and related appurtenances, and pavement restoration. Riegelsville Borough to purchase pipe, valves, sleeves, and mechanical restraints. Riegelsville Borough to hire subcontractor for installation of insertion valve and tapping sleeve directly. Award of Contract, if a Contract be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Riegelsville. Clarification Deadline: 6/30/2022 1:00 PM
