Description

Estimate: $6,500,000 The project consists of an approximate 10,000 square feet, two story structural steel frame with masonry veneer building has a slab on grade, built up approximately 4.25' above existing grade. There is a process control laboratory, and associated administration and support spaces. The Category 4 Essential Facility is designed for up to 161 mph winds as required by code. The deadline to ask questions is 6/02/2023 11:30 AM CST. The Owner reserves the right, after the bids have been opened and before the contract has been awarded, to conduct such investigations as the Owner deems necessary to assist in the evaluation of the bids and to establish the responsibility, qualifications and financial ability of bidders, proposed subcontractors, suppliers and other persons and organizations. Unless otherwise provided in the Contract Documents, the CONTRACTOR shall secure and pay for all construction permits, licenses, and other inspections necessary for proper execution and completion of the Work and which are legally required at the time bids are received. The body of each wage determination lists the classification and wage rates that have been found to be prevailing for the cited type(s) of construction in the area covered by the wage determination. The classifications are listed in alphabetical order of "identifiers" that indicate whether the particular rate is a union rate (current union negotiated rate for local), a survey rate (weighted average rate) or a union average rate (weighted union average rate) The purpose of this geotechnical exploration is for ALPHA TESTING, LLC ("ALPHA") to evaluate for Quorum Architects, Inc. ("Client") some of the physical and engineering properties of subsurface materials at selected locations on the subject site with respect to formulation of geotechnical design parameters for the proposed construction. The field exploration was accomplished by securing subsurface samples from widely spaced borings performed across the project site. Engineering analyses were performed from results of the field exploration and results of laboratory tests performed on representative samples. A cashier's check or Certified Check from a Texas Bank, or acceptable Bid Bond from a reliable surety company authorized to do business in Texas, payable to the City of League City, in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum Bid price submitted, must accompany each Bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will, within 10 calendar days of Award of Contract, enter into a Contract and execute Bonds on the forms provided in the Contract Documents The successful Bidder must furnish PERFORMANCE, PAYMENT and MAINTENANCE BONDS on the forms furnished with the PROPOSAL, in the amount of 100% of the total contract price, from a surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety. *Addendum 1 was issued today which changes a few specifications and many plans. If you read the narrative and look at the revised plans, it tells you that only a few changes really occurred, but those changes were reflected on many plans. The backup generator and generator platform were removed. The south drive was removed. Landscaping and irrigation were revised. Some other architectural and MEP changes occurred. *Addendum 2 has been issued. *We have uploaded pictures taken from the site visit last week. *A question was posted to the Owner/Architect regarding the wage scale. Their response to the question in Addendum 2 was a link to a government website. Utilizing that link, we uploaded the wage scale.
