Description | The deadline for bidder questions is January 30th at 1:00 pm The Architectural scope of work includes but is not limited to: a new secured main entrance vestibule, partial re-roof, replacement of localized exterior windows, interior renovations, miscellaneous flooring upgrades, localized brick tuckpointing, full ceiling replacement and other work to accommodate the new HVAC system. The Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing scope of work includes replacing the HVAC system in the school. New chiller, air handlers, and associated pumps will be installed. A new sprinkler system will be installed throughout. Plumbing upgrades for ADA accessibility. New electrical switchgear and distribution equipment will be provided along with new light fixtures and the associated electrical system renovations required for the mechanical systems upgrade. Other electrical system upgrades include an emergency generator replacement, intercom, security, fire alarm, network data, and other miscellaneous low-voltage system replacements/upgrades. Project is a renovation of the 205,000 sf high school building originally built in 1957, with miscellaneous renovations through the years. - Architectural scope includes but is not limited to the following: o Partial re-roof of select areas of the existing membrane roofing system. o Replacement of all the metal fascia panels at the perimeter of the fine arts building. o New secured entry vestibule o Replacement of existing moveable partitions with new fixed partitions o Selective door hardware upgrades o New ceilings throughout o Replacement of all carpet and select VCT areas o Renovations to restrooms throughout o Localized interior plan modifications o Miscellaneous work relative to MEP scope Refer to drawings for further definition of all scope - Abatement scope of work is as defined on AB101-AB104. Including removal of asbestos floor tile and removal of asbestos wall and floor mastic. -HVAC work includes but is not limited to the following: o Removal of the existing water cooled chillers and delivery to JCPS o Complete demolition of existing HVAC system o New central plant, new mechanical courtyard o New 2 pipe VAHUs for admin/classroom spaces o New 2 pipe AHUs for large volume spaces o New 2-pipe hydronic system with new pumps and hydronic equipment o New HVAC controls system o New kitchen ventilation equipment o Three geothermal wells and freezer/cooler piping system o Other miscellaneous HVAC equipment (exhaust fans, unit heaters, etc.) to be added or replaced - Plumbing work includes but is not limited to the following: o New backflow preventer to be provided o New domestic water heater assembly o Locker room shower and restroom group updates o New floor drain scope for mechanical units o Miscellaneous demo at renovated areas o New grease trap installation o New gas meter installation o New sump pump installations o Domestic water tunnel work - base bid, replace insulation, saddles, add isolation valves. Alternate - replace piping complete including insulation, saddles, and add isolation valves o Fire Protection work includes but is not limited to the following: o Complete new system with new tap off site water line o Sprinkler coverage to be added throughout the main building via a wet-type system o Electrical work includes but is not limited to the following: o Replacement of existing switchgear o New emergency generator o Replacement/new panels and feeders o Replacement of all light fixtures and lighting controls o Replacement of all data voice cabling and KETS cabling o Replacement of fire alarm, intercom, and security systems Addendum #1-#4 have been issued as of 2-3-2023. |
