Four Porter County Roadway - Project D

The Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) project is located on CR South 500 East, in Porter County, Indiana. The project will begin at CR 1300 South and terminate CR 1125 North. The road will be milled 2.0” deep before FDR to keep the road profile close to existing. The existing road cross section will be pulverized and cement stabilized per the Contractor’s approved FDR design. Tack coat will be applied to the FDR surface. 220 lbs./SY hot mix asphalt pavement, 12.5 mm, Surface, Type B shall be placed. The FDR will have an exception at Po. Co. Bridge 28 (CR 500 East over Cook Ditch, just north of CR 1200 South). The existing 1.5” asphalt on the bridge box beams will be milled. Porter County Highway Department will place a membrane over the bridge beams. 165 lbs/SY hot mix asphalt pavement, 9.5 mm, Surface, Type B will be placed over the membrane by the contractor.
