| Description | Perform maintenance dredging of Buttermilk Channel, New York, Federal Navigation Project to a depth of -35 feet Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) and -40 feet MLLW plus 2 feet of allowable overdepth. The proposed maintenance dredging would remove approximately 200,000 cubic yards (CY) of material from the critical shoal area. The dredged material would be dredged and subsequently placed at the Historic Area Remediation Site (HARS), approximately 5 miles east of Sandy Hook, New Jersey. The dredged material is expected to consist primarily of silt and clay. |
