City Hall Roof Drain Plumbing

The City of Gainesville is looking to replace all of the existing horizontal cast iron roof drain piping above the ceiling of the Fourth Floor in the City Hall Building. This piping leads from the 16 roof drains (4 groups of 4 drains each) to the existing 4 main vertical leaders on the interior of the building that take the water to the ground level storm sewer. The existing horizontal piping consists of 3", 4", and 6" cast iron lines that will be replaced with Schedule 80 PVC of like sizing/capacity. This piping will turn-up and connect to existing roof drain locations and to the 4 main vertical leaders that will remain. The existing and new horizontal piping runs are above occupied office spaces of the building's Fourth Floor. At the conclusion of the work repair or replace all damaged items and existing conditions, if any. The Roofing Contractor, under subsequent separate contract, will install new 3” and 4” roof drains in the same locations as existing drains and connect to the new PVC outflow
