Description | The City of Everett owns a Water Filter Plant located near Monroe, WA and is seeking a Contractor to construct improvements at the plant's Portal 4 structure. Proposed work includes, but is not limited to, installation of a new electrical cable delivering power to Portal 4 from the Water Filter Plant, improvements within the Portal 4 structure including replacement of electrical equipment, installation of new motorized actuators on three existing valves, HVAC, architectural, and building security improvements, upgrades to a level sensing device, and covering a section of exposed open channel with FRP panels. Exterior improvements include installation of isolation valves and valve vaults on three existing large diameter buried transmission lines and installation of a security fence around the structure. The Water Filter Plant is located at 6133 Lake Chaplain Road, Monroe, WA 98272 A Bid received from a Bidder who did not attend one pre-bid meeting and sign the sign-in sheet will be found not responsible and the bid will be rejected. Any questions and/or answers that may affect the bid will be included in an addendum to the bid documents and sent to all the plan holders. All bids must be made upon the City forms provided for this purpose and must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check or cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid, all as set forth in the Contract Documents. One hundred percent (100%) Payment and Performance Bonds will be required of the successful Bidder to guarantee faithful performance of the contract. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities. No Bidder may withdraw its Bid after the hour set for the opening thereof, except as may be provided in the Contract Documents. The City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest of the City. The right is reserved by the City to postpone the award for a period of forty-five (45) days after bid opening. The Contractor will be required to comply with all local, State, and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunities. |
