Description

Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Asheboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot. The EB-5862 project consists of sidewalk along Industrial Park Avenue from the parking lot at Entrance B to Randolph Community College to just east of Enterprise Street including curb and gutter and associated storm drainage as necessary. Pursuant to Section 143-133.3 of the General Statutes of North Carolina (the General Statutes), the City of Asheboro will not enter into a contract for services unless the successful bidder, and the bidders subcontractors, comply with the requirements of Chapter 64, Article 2 of the General Statutes. The said statutory provisions establish North Carolinas EVerify requirements for employers. In order to be responsive to the request for proposals and, if successful as a bidder, to satisfy the contract formation requirements, the successful bidder must contractually agree with the city that the bidder and its subcontractors who perform work on this Project are compliant, and will remain compliant throughout the duration of the Project, with Chapter 64, Article 2 of the General Statutes. Notice of Federal Funding. EB-5862 will receive federal funding. All prospective bidders or offerors must acknowledge that funding is contingent upon compliance with all terms and conditions of the funding award. Bidders are required to be prequalified with NCDOT as Bidders or PO Prime Contractors prior to submitting a bid. Information regarding prequalification can be found. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.
