Harriman Farms Pump Station Replacement

Contractor shall remove existing steel, five (5) foot diameter, thirteen (13) feet deep lift station, along with all associated pumps, piping, controls, wiring, conduit and any concrete ballast. 1. Cut and cap existing three (3) inch force main and six (6) inch gravity main and preparation of such mains for reconnection to new packaged lift station. 2. Removal of existing single phase electrical and phone utilities back to nearest junction box or pole for reconnection to new packaged lift station. 3. Provide bypass pumping or sewage storage for the duration of this Pump Station Replacement Project (“Project”). 4. Coordinate all excavation with all underground electric, plumbing and data utilities. 5. Provide proper shoring and dewatering of excavation site Contractor shall provide and install a new five (5) foot diameter, twelve (12) feet deep, fiberglass packaged duplex lift station with integrated dry valve chamber as manufactured by Excel fluid groups model EX-FGSA4PVD60X144IVSGV, or approved equal, including all pumps, piping, controls, wiring and related appurtenance, for a complete operating lift station. 1. Perform a detailed site investigation to confirm existing inverts and measurements in the field. 2. Lift station shall have two (2) recessed impeller flow through pumps, each capable of pumping forty (40) GPM at eighteen (18) feet of head pressure, three (3) phase, 208-230 volts 3. Lift station shall have duplex controls with VFD controls, two (2) mechanical float switches, a level transducer with stilling tube and a sensaphone model 1800 auto dialer. Control panel shall be a weather tight lockable panel and provided with a single duplex 20-amp service outlet. 4. Furnish and install one (1) new exterior grade double throw disconnect switch with appropriate backup generator plug. 5. Lift station shall be provided with a lifting crane. 6. Provide the necessary ballast for new lift station. 7. Connect new lift station to existing three (3) inch force main, six (6) inch gravity main, data and electrical utilities. 8. Backfill new lift station according to manufacturer recommendations. 9. Provide new four (4) inch thick 8’ x 10’ concrete pad surrounding new pump station. Pad shall be trawled smooth with a pitch to towards pump station. Pad shall be constructed with the proper steel reinforcement. 10. Provide a molded one-piece fiberglass enclosure to cover the pump station, which shall be securely mounted to the concrete pad. Enclosure shall be 6’ x 10’, have double entry doors, interior LED lights, single duplex service outlet and six (6) inch air intake vent as manufactured by FS Industries or approved equal. 11. Return surrounding construction area to original condition including all fencing, curbing, asphalt, shrubs, retaining walls and grass areas.
