Description

Bids will be received for the following Contract: Contract No.1 - Riverwalk West Wall/Sidewalk Reconstruction Sets of Bidding Documents may be viewed and ordered online by registering with the Issuing Office at website. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Cash deposits will not be accepted. all handling costs (mail, delivery services, etc.) shall be the responsibility of the bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the City of Oswego prior to incorporation into the work of the Contract. Section 00020 advertisement for bids contract no. 1 riverwalk west wall/sidewalk reconstruction 6.22 00020-2 064.020. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. Due to COVID-19, it is requested that bids are submitted via postal delivery, and that bid openings are viewed online. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids. This project involves the reconstruction and repairs to the Oswego Riverwalk corridor on the west side of the river between Bridge Street and West Utica Street including removal and reconstruction of portions of the existing concrete sidewalk and retaining walls. Portions of the existing railing will be removed, painted, and reset. Additionally, slope protection will be bolstered/added in areas where it has been displaced or washed out. Missing mortar and stones on the stone masonry retaining walls will be repaired. The approximate corridor repair/reconstruction length is 3,170 feet.
