Halifax Historical Society Museum Roof Replacement

1. Project includes Replacement of Low-Sloped Roof Membrane to include the addition of roof top insulation and limited repair of brick cladding as called out on drawings. 2. Remove existing metal flashings, membrane flashing, and roof membrane to existing wood decking. 3. Inspect existing conditions of substrate and all surfaces to receive new roofing system for deterioration, report to Engineer any unsatisfactory conditions. 4. Install new rigid insulation providing a minimum of R-25 for roofing system. 5. Install new 1/2-inch minimum fire rated recovery board to the entire low-sloped roof surface following, Specification, Drawings and Manufactures Requirements. 6. Install new 2-ply modified bitumen roofing membrane per specifications, drawings, and manufacturers requirements. 7. Install new primary and secondary drains. 8. Install new sheet metal flashings, counterflashing, replace vents to match existing, and all associated materials required to provide a complete watertight roofing system. All existing copper copings and flashing to be replaced with copper of same gage, profile and locations that currently exist. 9. Review all curb, vent and flashing heights and provide minimum height for all as required by the Florida Building Code 2020. 10. See roof plan A-100 for location of brick cladding repair
