Sidewalk Replacement and Improvements

Sidewalk Replacement and Improvements includes the reconstruction of sidewalks, curb ramps, and residential and commercial driveways throughout the Uptown TIFF District. The locations of the sidewalk to be replaced can be seen in the attached figures. The sidewalks will be constructed to City of Memphis and American Disabilities Act requirements, unless approved otherwise by the City of Memphis. Sidewalks are to be 5-foot wide, unless space between the curb and right-of-way limit the ability to construct a sidewalk at this width. However, no sidewalk shall be constructed less than 3 feet wide, for a maximum length of 20 feet. The curb ramps and driveways improvements included in this project are associated with the sidewalks to be replaced. The curb ramps and driveways will be to the City of Memphis standards, or as shown in the attached drawings. If a curb ramp or driveway cannot confirm to the City of Memphis standards or the detail on the attached drawings, the Contractor shall work with the City of Memphis Inspection Department and Community Redevelopment Agency to develop a solution to install the curb ramp/driveway.
