Written Questions Accepted no later than APRIL 28, 2023 Contract End Date JUNE 30, 2024 This bid is being undertaken per requiring a 5% bid bond in the form of a certified check, bank treasurer's or cashier's check, or a bid bond from a MA licensed surety company. A Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the amount of 50% of the job estimate, issued by a surety company licensed by the Massachusetts State Division of Insurance, will be requested by the individual town upon Notice to Proceed if the job is estimated at more than $25,000. Qualified bidders who are Minority/Women/Disadvantaged Owned Business Enterprises (M/W/D/BE) are encouraged to apply. Other qualified bidders are encouraged to partner with disadvantaged businesses. The awarded contractor shall endeavor to meet Workforce Participation Goal Requirements under which are currently 6.9% for women and 15.3% for minorities. Failure or refusal of the successful bidder to execute and deliver a Signed Contract, Certificate of Insurance acceptable to the Chief Procurement Officer within ten days after notice of contract award will result in the forfeiture of the Bid Bond as Liquidated Damages. The Contract will be awarded to the next lowest qualified bidder or the IFB re-advertised, as the FRCOG believes is in the best public interest.
