Purchase of Eight (8) Vertical Turbine Pumps

To construct a new Stormwater Intake Station and Filtration System (Project) within the COVBWS’s Water Treatment Facility (WTF). The facilities shall provide stormwater collection infrastructure to deliver 3 to 4 Million Gallons a Day (MGD) of treated stormwater as irrigation supply. Given the long lead times for the pumps/motors, the City of Vero Beach has elected to directly procure eight (8) vertical turbine pumps. The Intake station just north of the Indian River Farms Water Control District Main Relief Canal right-of-way will be equipped with four (4) pumps, delivering approximately 1.0 MGD per pump at 42-feet of head. The re-pump station located within the COVBWS water treatment plant premises will be equipped with four (4) pumps, delivering approximately 1.0 MGD at 220-feet of head.
