Spangler Farm Trail

As of November 10, 2022, all bids for this project have been rejected. At this time, it has not been confirmed if the project will be rebid. Construction of approximately .36 miles of trail from the George Spangler Farm Civil War Hospital Site to National Park Service Property. Improvements will include site work, E&S Controls, trail paving, signage, stormwater management, and other miscellaneous site improvements A bid bond by acceptable surety or a certified check made payable to Gettysburg Foundation in the amount of 10% of the maximum bid must be provided by each bidder with their bid. Each bidder must be prepared to submit evidence of his qualifications to perform the work. All contractors are required to make a Good Faith Effort to provide the opportunity for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) firms to participate in the performance of this construction Contract. Documentation of such solicitations and commitments shall be submitted concurrently with the bid. Notice is hereby given to bidders that this project is subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act approved August 15, 1961 (Act No. 442, P.L. 987), as amended. Bidders should refer to federal and state statutes, rules and regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and the preservation of public and natural resources pursuant to PA Act No. 1972-247. The Contract Time for this project is sixty (60) calendar days. Gettysburg Foundation reserves the right to accept any bid or reject any or all bids.
