ILDOT - 067 - Replace the four-span bridge (SN 101-0098) carrying Perryville Road Original Report Date: 07/09/2021 Proposed SN: 101-0206 Route: F.A.I. 39 (I-39) Revised Date: Existing SN: 101-0098 Section: 4HBR-3 This project includes the complete replacement of the four-span bridge (SN 101-0098) with a twospan continuous, steel plate girder bridge (SN 101-0206). The structure is skewed 50-06'-11" right-forward. The horizontal alignment of Perryville Road is tangent. The roadway profile will be raised to provide a minimum of 17'-4" vertical clearance over the future interstate. I-39 currently has 2 lanes in each direction, and the new structure will also provide lateral and vertical clearance for a future 3 rd and 4 th lane in each direction. The horizontal alignment of I-39/US Bypass 20 is tangent under the structure. Traffic on Perryville Road will be maintained using detours, and I39/US Bypass 20 will be maintained with lane shifts and will have short term nighttime closures during beam removal and girder erection. Roadway improvements include the construction of concrete approach slabs, pavement connectors, HMA pavement and resurfacing, and combination concrete curb and gutter.The improvements also include HMA shoulders, guardrail, pavement markings, storm sewers, and seeding.
