Description	The Mayor and Council and the Planning Commission of the Town of Galena, Maryland are requesting proposals from qualified firms with experience in land use, community, and environmental planning, as well as citizen involvement/participation in crafting the update of the Town's growth vision contained within the various elements of the Town's 2009 Comprehensive Plan, particularly the Town's Forecast and Assumptions section and the Municipal Growth Element. The project is an update with the current 2009 Plan serving as a foundation. The 2009 Comprehensive Plan does not currently identify future growth areas outside of the existing town boundaries. The goal is to refresh a community-based vision based upon public participation in promulgating a new ten (10) year 2021 -2031 Comprehensive Plan that provides a framework and policy context within which to make decisions relating to land use and future development, for at least a ten (10) year planning horizon. The Town has recently upgraded its sewer treatment capacity would like to evaluate the appropriateness of adjacent areas for annexation and extension of municipal services.
