CDBG Home Repair Program 2023

The City of Independence is seeking proposals from qualified firms to manage and implement the Minor Home Repair Grant Program. The goal of the Program is to improve the quality of life for low-income residents, including people with disabilities and the elderly. The Program provides assistance in the form of a grant for minor home repairs and improvements concentrating on health and safety code repairs. Applicant's household income cannot exceed 80% of the area median income (AMI), adjusted for household size (See the 2022 Income Limits Summary for the Kansas City, MO Metro below).
