Description

The project will accomplish the upgrade and renovation of the existing auditorium and adjacent gymnasium spaces at the Centerville location. The space and all new construction shall meet Sinclair standards for multimedia, finishes, lighting, etc. however some new features and aesthetics may be applied. The work will include multimedia and AV upgrades for the two gymnasiums, auditorium lighting upgrades, gymnasium lighting upgrades, stage rigging system, stage curtain replacement, bleacher seat refinishing or replacement, baptismal font removal, carpet in selected areas (Owner standard), wall repair and painting, scoreboard removal, office spaces and other related work. Nearby existing spaces will be renovated for storage. Furniture & equipment will be procured (mostly Owner standard) including upright cooler/refrigerator, prep tables, banquet furniture. Repair of existing retractable walls will be included. The selected design team will serve as Architect/Engineer (A/E), and shall have extensive experience in State of Ohio public Design-Bid-Build (DBB) projects. A/E shall be familiar with all methods and procedures for executing Ohio public DBB projects, and will conduct programming (POR) and concept development with Sinclair staff, provide design documents, arrange for bidding, and provide construction administration of project on Owner's behalf, and shall have broad experience related to general building renovation construction. A/E shall provide interior design services including finish selections, samples & presentations for approval, as well as furniture procurement assistance. A/E shall utilize an acoustic engineer or consultant in conjunction with multimedia designer to produce best possible multimedia outcome. Gymnasium multimedia and AV systems must work seamlessly with multimedia system in adjacent auditorium space, being installed concurrently by others under separate project. Important elements in the A/E selection process will be experience in ensuring protection of building interiors and surrounding campus property as well as mitigating disruptions to students, visitors and staff. The firms must have experience in the complete design and monitoring of the work to be performed, to ensure work meets all codes and requirements, and to ensure subsequent warranties. A/E shall demonstrate experience and competencies related to auditorium and assembly spaces encompassing a leading-edge presentation environment Construction Notice to Proceed: 04 / 23 Substantial Completion of all Work: 08 / 23 Professional Services Completed: 09 / 23 The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
