Description | Custodial Maintenance Services at Special Facilities, in the City of Irvine. Custodial Maintenance Services as detailed in this Scope of Services, shall include but not limited to, routine custodial services, janitorial duties, extra work and as-needed services. Work details and guidelines are included in this Scope of Services. The work to be performed hereunder is located at various Special Facilities in the City of Irvine, County of Orange. S: It is anticipated that the contract shall commence on or about October 1, 2022 and shall continue through June 30, 2023. The City reserves the right to extend this Agreement for four (4) additional one (1) year periods. Such extension shall only be valid if effectuated in writing by the City. : The award of the Contract, if it is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible Bidder whose bid complies with all the requirements prescribed. The City reserves the right, after opening bids, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, to make awards in the interest of the City, and to reject all other bids. Bidders with the three lowest responsive bids shall deliver an original hard copy of the certified check, cashier's check or surety bond to the Receptionist for the Purchasing Agent at 1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine, CA, 92606 within two business days of the bid opening date. Failure to submit the original check or bidder's bond shall result in the bid being declared non-responsive. The Performance and Payment Bond shall be not less than twenty-five percent (25%) of the Base Bid amount of the bid price named in the contract. Only bonds issued by companies admitted to do business in the State of California will be accepted in accordance with the Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.311. Failure to submit acceptable Payment and Performance Bonds as required shall result in a rejection of the bid and a forfeiture of the proposal guarantee. In lieu of these bonds, Contractor may provide to City an irrevocable letter of credit (ILOC) in an amount not less than 25% of the annual value of the contract. The City reserves the right to approve any submitted ILOC. All questions relative to this project must be submitted via portal no later than the date and time specified on the cover page of this IFB. No verbal requests or requests made in any other format will be accepted.
