Description | As of October 18, 2022, this project is in the conceptual phase. An engineer firm has been selected but not awarded. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to July 2023. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Perpetuation projects to mill and overlay roadways in Milwaukee County. 2060-20-00 Mill 3" and resurface 3" approximately 6.56 miles of STH 38 from Oakwood Road to Grange Ave. within both the cities of Oak Creek and Milwaukee. Curb ramps will be evaluated for compliance throughout the project. Signal work to be completed at the following intersections with STH 38: Oakwood Road (add monotubes), STH 100, Centennial Drive, Puetz Road, Forest Hill Road, Susan Drive, Drexel Avenue, Rawson Avenue, College Avenue, STH 119 EB Ramp, and Grange Avenue. Majority of signal work is to remove Autoscope cameras and replace with base-patched loops. Decking sealing to be completed at B-40-0294/5, patching storm sewer pipes that enter culvert at B-40-0296, recoating epoxy slope paving at B-40-0484/5, and concrete surface repairs at C-40-0050. Anticipated Construction Cost: $10,000,000-$10,999,999 The contract price will be based on an estimate of the selected consultant's actual costs plus fixed fee. Actual costs will be defined as those costs allowable under the cost principles in Part 31 of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Consultant costs including indirect cost rates and cost accounting system will be subject to audit. Consultant firms that are unable to account for costs consistent with requirements of the FAR are not eligible to contract. Consultants selected will be required to either submit or have on file with WisDOT a Consultant Financial Report prior to contract execution. Advertised Fixed Fee % : 7.25 Fixed Fee Notification : The fixed fee for this contract will apply an indirect cost factor of 150% to the consultant's estimated direct labor, regardless of the consultant's actual indirect rate.
