Blue Heron 2 Trunk Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project

The project includes replacement of approximately 880 feet of aged and deteriorating 12-inch diameter ductile iron sewer pipe in the Blue Heron canal with 12-inch nominal inside diameter HDPE sewer pipe and replacement of aged and deteriorating ductile iron sewer laterals in the canal that connect to the sewer main with HDPE sewer pipe that includes a cleanout installed at the canal wall. The project also includes rehabilitating sewers using cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, rehabilitation of manholes, replacement of two 6-inch diameter sewer segments with 8-inch diameter sewers, lining sewer laterals (and in some cases replacing laterals) from the main sewer to the property line and installing cleanouts on laterals near the public right of way line. Completion of all sewer project components is required by December 31, 2023. The Engineer's estimate of the overall construction cost for the project is approximately $3.0 to $4.0 million.
