Description | It is the intent of the Contract Documents to provide the requirements and specification for the construction associated with the City of Silsbee, Texas, 2021 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project. Base Bid Items in this contract shall provide for the rehabilitation, (Pipe Bursting and/or Cured in Place Pipe), of approximately 1,582 linear feet of 30" sanitary sewer lines with 36" HDPE DR17 or CIPP(Cured in Place Pipe), 439 linear feet of 24" sanitary sewer lines with 28" HDPE DR17 or CIPP , 483 linear feet of 21" sanitary sewer lines with 24" HDPE DR17 or CIPP, and 136 linear feet of 24" sanitary sewer lines with CIPP, 645 linear feet of 21" sanitary sewer lines with CIPP, and 418 linear feet of 8" sanitary sewer lines with 10.75" HDPE DR17, 680 linear feet of 6" sanitary sewer lines with 6.625" HDPE DR17 by pipe bursting method of construction. Remove and replace 3 manholes with concrete manholes inside and outside of pavement. Rehabilitate 195 vertical feet of manholes inside and outside of pavement. Restore approximately 40 sanitary sewer service connections and one 6" commercial service connection. Remove and replace all end of line cleanouts with fiberglass manholes or Concrete manholes if within five feet of road edge. Bypass pumping is to be provided as necessary. Pre and Post Television Inspection on 4,383 linear feet of 6" to 30" sanitary sewer lines. Alternate Bid Items shall provide for the rehabilitation of approximately 886 linear feet of 21" sanitary sewer lines with CIPP, and 2,484 linear feet of 21" sanitary sewer lines with 24" HDPE DR17 or CIPP, 1,118 linear feet of 18" sanitary sewer lines with 22" HDPE DR17 or CIPP, and 1,809 linear feet of 12" sanitary sewer lines with 14" HDPE DR17, 720 linear feet of 10" sanitary sewer lines with 12.75" HDPE DR17 , 5,243 linear feet of 8" sanitary sewer lines with 10.75" HDPE DR17, 1,186 linear feet of 6" sanitary sewer lines with 6.625" HDPE DR17 by pipe bursting. Remove and replace 43 manholes with concrete manholes inside and outside of pavement. Rehabilitate 32 vertical feet of manholes inside and outside of pavement. Restore approximately 65 sanitary sewer service connections and one 6" commercial service connection. Remove and replace all end of line cleanouts with fiberglass manholes or Concrete manholes if within five feet of road edge. Bypass pumping is to be provided as necessary. Pre and Post Television Inspection on 13,446 linear feet of 6" to 21" sanitary sewer lines. Supplemental Bid Items are also included for the construction of temporary point repair and remote obstruction removal as necessary. Supplemental bid items are included to remove and replace the sanitary sewer manhole, in lieu of rehabilitating existing manholes. This contract shall include all necessary superintendence, labor, materials, equipment, tools, piping, field jointing, cleaning, grouting, excavation, trenching, shoring, fill, grading, backfill, surface restoration, testing, hauling and disposal of excess soils, and incidental items necessary for the construction of the proposed facilities as shown in the plans and documented in the specifications. The Contractor is responsible for the restoration of all disturbed surfaces, including pavement. All surfaces shall be returned to original condition or better. Prior to the start of construction, the Contractor shall submit a construction schedule to the engineer detailing his anticipated activities with estimated dates for the completion of each activity and section. The Contractor shall be responsible for the startup and testing of each system embraced in this Contract. All systems shall be demonstrated to be functioning at design conditions prior to being considered complete. Where requested or required by the Engineer, the Contractor shall submit test data and certify in writing that the systems tested performed as required by the plans and specifications at design conditions. |
