Description | Description: IFB-22-23-077 Rudder Road Sanitary Sewer Extension Question Deadline 08/22/2023 at 5:00 PM ET Questions may be submitted in via email to: purchasing@dan-villeva.gov. Direct Inquiries to: Carol Henley, Director of Purchasing (434) 799-6528, option #3. purchasing@danvilleva.gov City Project Representative: Chris Franks, P.E. Chris.Franks@danvilleva.gov General work description: Construct approximately 300 linear feet of 8" PVC sewer main in existing right-of-way on South Boston Road and Rudder Road. Construct approximately 70 linear feet of 6" PVC sewer lateral to serve parcels on Rudder Road. Submit your bid with proposal guaranty (bid bond, certified check, or cash escrow) equal to at least 5% of the bid. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding. The Contractor must be prequalified with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). For information about becoming prequalified, please visit portal. Prevailing wages in compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act are not required on this Contract. Contractors are encouraged to do business with Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) and Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned (SWaM) Businesses however, there is no contract requirement for DBE participation. For a directory listing of DBE and SWaM businesses, visit portal. An agreement will be presented to the Contractor for signature within 60 days after opening of bids if contract is to be awarded. Contract Completion: Thirty (30) days from Notice to Proceed Date. The procedure for withdrawal of bids due to error shall be according to Virginia Administrative Code 2.2-4330. Construct new traffic signal system on existing unsignalized intersection of Memorial Drive (Route 29 BUS) and Bishop Road. |
