Streets - Milling and Overlay

Faxed bids, incomplete bids or bids that are received late will not be considered for award. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, the outside of which is clearly marked 'Streets - Mill and Overlay. The City of Durant reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informality in the proposal process. Milling - All streets to be milled will be done to O.D.O.T. Standards and specifications to maintain and establish profile and cross slopes. All millings will be hauled by the contractor and stock piled on the City's property at 1202 Ne 2nd Durant Ok, 74701 and remain the City of Durant's property. Overlay. - Overlay will be of a Type S4 asphalt material installed and compacted using O.D.O.T standards and specifications. If needed a leveling course may be installed in low areas using S5 asphalt to O.D.O.T standards and specifications. All driveways and Intersections must match grade height so as to make smooth transitions from existing pavements to new paved surface. All manholes and water valves shall be raised to match height of street. Striping. - Striping will be hot applied Thermoplastic compound materials that meet the requirements of AASHTO M 249. Preformed words and symbols shall conform to the shapes and sizes in the current Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets.
