Description

As of April 5, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Locations- 20100 Riverdale Rd, Siloam Springs 20112 Riverdale Rd, Siloam Springs 20120 Riverdale Rd, Siloam Springs It is the intent, to obtain prices for demolition & grading of county-owned structures. The in no way guarantees any amount or any number of jobs under this bid. The County may terminate this contract by 15 days written notice if it is found that the awarded contractor has failed to meet his/her obligations as directed by these specifications and no monetary damage will be given for unfinished jobs. For bidding purposes, demolition includes the removal of any and all improvements on the property. Determination of the extent of work necessary for the complete removal of the structure is strictly the responsibility of the bidder. All structures must be completely removed as outlined herein. Basements (including pits, storm shelters, pools), as applicable, will be removed, backfilled with suitable material, and left level with the surrounding area. Water well, ass applicable, shall have equipment removed and proper casing securely covered for safety. Septic tanks in or out of the right of way shall be pumped empty, removed, and completely filled with suitable fill material and level with surrounding area. It is understood that all combustible material, construction material, and all other rubbish, including vegetation which is uprooted to facilitate operations, will be cleared from the premises by the Contractor. When the job is completed, the properties shall be left as a safe and level condition, suitable for routine mowing and maintenance. All site work associated with the bid shall be completed within 45 calendar days of receipt of a purchase order. The project start date is dependent on the closing date of the property. **As of September 30,2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Any modifications or alterations to the original RFB documents by the Bidder, whether intentional or otherwise, will constitute grounds for rejection of such RFB response. Benton County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities therein, and all Bidders shall agree that such rejection shall be without liability on the part of Benton County for any damage or claim brought by any Bidder because of such rejections, nor shall the Bidder seek any recourse of any kind against Benton County because of such rejections.The filing of any bid in response to this invitation shall constitute an agreement of the Bidder to these conditions. Price to perform demolition, as per specifications below: 20100 Riverdale Road, Siloam Springs: I. The residential structure and the metal barn will be demolished. The main structure is a 2,752 sq. ft. residential dwelling, with standard frame construction, built on a slab in 1996. The home was elevated in 1997 and the foundation is now an elevated crawlspace, built using block construction. The barn has a dirt floor. Removal of the residential dwelling and barn will be to ground level with any slabs left in place. All utilities will be capped above ground. All access to the work areas must be from the existing access road. Work in area other than the residential dwelling and barn should limited and should not disturb the existing ground surface. All heavy machinery use will be limited to areas around the residential dwelling and barn with padding used for locations that the heavy machinery will be placed to remove the structures and the access to those locations. B. Price to perform demolition, as per specifications below: 20112 Riverdale Road, Siloam Springs: I. The residential structure and the pump house will be demolished. The main structure is a 3,368 sq. ft. residential dwelling, with standard frame construction, built in 2000. The original structure has a basement that is accessible from outside of the house. In 2011 a lateral addition to the home was constructed on a slab. The pump house is constructed on a concrete slab. Removal of the residential dwelling and the pump house will be to ground level with any slabs left in place. All utilities will be capped above ground. All access to the work areas must be from the existing access road. All heavy machinery use will be limited to areas around the residential dwelling and barn with padding used for locations that the heavy machinery will be placed to remove the structures and the access to those locations. C. Price to perform demolition, as per specifications below: 20120 Riverdale Road, Siloam Springs: I. The residential structure, barn, and pole shed will be demolished. The main structure is a 2,028 sq. ft. residential dwelling, constructed on a slab foundation, built in 1999. The barn has a partial concrete slab. Removal of the residential dwelling and the barn will be to ground level with any slabs left in place Removal of the pole shed should be done by cutting poles off at ground level and removal of debris should be completed manually and not include heavy machinery. All utilities will be capped above ground. All access to the work areas must be from the existing access road. Work in areas other than the residential dwelling and barn should be limited and should not disturb the existing ground surface. All heavy machinery use will be limited to areas around the residential dwelling and barn with padding used for locations that the heavy machinery will be placed to remove the structures and the access to those locations.
