I-55 from I-80 to US 52 (Jefferson St) - Interchange Reconstruction and US 52 at I-55 & at NE/SE Fr Rd

Phase III engineering is required to provide construction inspection services for the above subject improvement. Work includes, but is not limited to, contract number 62H15 – complete interchange reconstruction to provide a full diverging diamond interchange; structure rehabilitation of the existing structure carrying northbound IL 59 over I-55; construction of auxiliary lanes on both northbound and southbound I-55; construction of retaining walls and noise walls; construction of a pedestrian shared-use path; new traffic signals; traffic signal modernization; drainage improvement; interchange lighting; intelligent transportation system (ITS); new overhead sign structures; new signings and pavement markings; and aesthetic landscaping. Contract number 62H16 – bridge deck repairs and bridge median removal; widening of all four ramps; widening of US 52 from the northeast frontage road to northbound I-5 on ramp; widening of the southeast and northeast frontage roads; traffic signal modernization; drainage improvement; and aesthetic landscaping.
