Description | The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids in whole or in part and to waive such informalities as may be permitted Question Deadline 09/29/2023 at 5:00 PM ET Questions regarding these specifications must be directed in writing to Allison L. Hansen via email at allison.hansen@co.cape-may.nj.us. The deadline for questions is FRIDAY The County of Cape May is requesting bids for the initial phase of demolition of the above ground improvements of the former El Dorado Motel, on a portion of Block 54, Lot 11, 1575 Route 47 South, Woodbine, in the Township of Dennis, NJ. Under no circumstance shall soil, wetlands, or subsurface conditions be disturbed. This contract is for the removal of aboveground structures only. There may be existing utilities that are not yet discovered or identified and that do not service this property. Notify the County as soon as practicable, if utilities are found. Contractor must identify utility markings of all underground utilities. 2. Demolition: a. Complete demolition and removal of all aboveground structures, contents, piping, mechanical/electrical equipment, and structure utilities. b. Concrete and soil must remain in place. No disturbance to subsurface conditions shall occur. c. All material, equipment, rubble, debris, and other products of the demolition shall become the property of the Contractor for their disposal off-site in accordance with all applicable laws and ordinances. Any sale of salvageable materials by the Contractor shall only be conducted off-site. d. Any hazardous materials encountered during demolition must be disposed of in accordance with applicable regulations at the appropriate facility. Notify the Director of Facilities & Services or designee immediately or as soon as practicable thereafter if hazardous material(s), not previously identified, are found. e. Work is not permitted on Sundays or Holidays. Contractor is responsible for complying with any existing local noise/disturbance regulations. d. All trees and vegetation shall remain in place as is/undisturbed. e. There shall be no encroachment into or disturbance of delineated freshwater wetlands (marked with pink surveying flagging). f. All concrete pads, curbs, and walkways must remain in place. g. The County will not provide dumpsters for material removal. V. VII. POLLUTION CONTROL: a. Any and all equipment, trucks, dumpsters, material, and incidentals to be used to complete the work will be in good working order without leaks and shall be removed promptly after the completion of the work. b. All transport of debris must be fully enclosed/covered from point of origin to disposal facility |
