The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Ocean Service (NOS), National Geodetic Survey (NGS), Instrument & Method Branch, Testing & Training Center, Woodford, VA, has a requirement to prep and seal asphalt-based pavements to Office Drive and paved parking area and repaint parking stripes for NGS Testing & Training Center located at 15351 Office Drive, Woodford, VA 22580 with a Period of Performance of forty-five (45) days from notice to proceed. See Solicitation and Statement of Work for further details. ***100% Small Business Set-Aside*** The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Ocean Service (NOS), National Geodetic Survey (NGS), Instrument & Method Branch, Testing & Training Center, Woodford, VA, has a requirement to prep and seal asphalt-based pavements to Office Drive and paved parking area and repaint parking stripes for NGS Testing & Training Center located at 15351 Office Drive, Woodford, VA 22580 The NAICS code for the work described below is 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction with a Size Standard $39.5 Million. The project shall be completed forty-five (45) days after notice to proceed and will be set aside for Small Businesses. The estimated magnitude of this project is estimated to be less than $25,000.00. This project has the following major components. o The surface to receive asphalt sealcoat must be free of all foreign material and dry immediately prior to sealcoat application. o The sealer must be applied to sound pavements. It is not a method of resurfacing deteriorated pavement. The sealer is specifically formulated to shield against the drying action of the sun, resist damage from oil and gasoline leakage and prevent water penetration. The sealer can extend the life of the pavement IF applied to sound pavement on an as needed schedule. For optimal protection Rate (undiluted material) 2 coats at 30 gallons per 100 square feet (15 gallons each coat) o All sealed areas shall be marked/striped to as is prior to seal coating or current ADA and codes as apply. The solicitation will result in the Government awarding a firm fixed price contract based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). There is approximately 29000 combined square feet of road and parking surface area requiring slurry seal application associated with Office Drive and associated parking areas.
