Description In general, but not limited to, the work will include grading, paving, pavement marking, signage and installation of storm drainage system and all other work associated with the widening of Park West Boulevard for approximately 1.5 miles. In contract relocations for Mount Pleasant Waterworks (MPW) utilities will also be required. A contractor from MPWs approved contractor list shall be used for any work pertaining to the installation of their facilities. The purpose of the project is to provide additional traffic capacity, increase multimodal transportation options by the addition of bike lanes and improved shared use path and improve safety. Major elements of construction include grading, installation of closed drainage system and placement of base and paving. Pavement marking, permanent signage, water and sewer relocation, landscaping and irrigation installation are also included in this construction project.
