Jackson's Mill Water Supply and Sanitary/Sewer Improvements

The comprehensive replacement of the sanitary sewer and storm sewer as well as the domestic and fire water supply system for the main Jackson's Mill campus West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors ("BOG") located in Morgantown, West Virginia ("WVU" or "University") is initiating this Request for Bids ("RFB") from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors for the replacement of the sanitary sewer, the storm water and the domestic fire and water system(s) at Jackson's Mill Facilities Management Paul Whiteman - Project Manager Questions MUST be submitted directly on the solicitation electronically. Question Submission Close Date 11/2/2022 12:00 PM EDT The bid/proposal process is highly controlled. To protect the integrity of the process, any questions or clarifications regarding this Request for Bid/Proposal must be handled through the Department of Procurement, Contracting, & Payment Services. Substantial Completion shall be May 15, 2023 Final Completion shall be June 15, 2023. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated above. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed or Executed Agreement shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion of contract time stated in number of consecutive calendar days or established date. Time is of the essence. Liquidated Damages shall be Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion. The following Bonds will be required with award: Performance Bond Labor and Material Bond Liquidated Damages shall be Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion
