Description | Project was awarded to Crossroads Asphalt Recycling, Inc in the amount of $303,616.75. The work generally includes asphalt pavement resurfacing, curb, curb ramp repairs, sidewalk repairs, and full depth concrete pavement repairs. Each bid must be made upon proposal forms provided in each set of specifications and contain the full name of every person, firm or corporation interested therein and be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of either a certified or cashier's check drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Ohio, together with a consent of surety, in the amount of (10%) of the total bid, made payable to the City of Middleburg Heights, Ohio or a bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid drawn in favor of the City of Middleburg Heights, all as prescribed in O.R.C. 153.54, and as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into with the City, and in default, thereof, said check or bond will be forfeited to the City of Middleburg Heights as liquidated damages. Contractors shall be required to pay prevailing wages on this contract in accordance with the Federal Prevailing Wage Decision. The Contractor shall make the necessary adjustment in the prevailing wage rate and pay any wage increase during the term of the contract. A bidder/contractor will be deemed committed to the Department of Labor's goals and timetables for the Cleveland, Ohio areas as specified in the Notice of Requirements for Affirmative Action to ensure Equal Employment Opportunity Executive Order 11246 by submitting a properly signed bid. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applications for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin. A copy of the bid Specification Package will be available for review by all potential bidders at the office of the County Community Development located at 2079 East 9th Street, 7th Floor Office 7-303, Cleveland, Ohio, 44115. Small Business Enterprises (SBE's) are encouraged to participate on this project. The goal for SBE participation is 35% of the total contract for this project. A pre-bid conference will not be held for this project. The rights are reserved by the City of Middleburg Heights to reject any or all bids, or parts of any bid. |
