Reinforced Elastomeric Bearing Pads

PURPOSE: The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms provide and deliver Steel Reinforced Elastomeric Bearing Pads 0095-089-801, B670 per attached specifications and drawings. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: From Date of Award through Delivery of Goods (NonRenewable). QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS INVITATION FOR BID: Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Kristy Jeter at Kristy.Jeter@vdot.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM on August 25, 2022. The Contractor shall provide and deliver Steel Reinforced Elastomeric Bearing Pads for project 0095-089-801, B670 per attached specifications and drawings. a. Shim Materials shall meet ASTM A36 or A1011 mild steel. b. Elastomer materials for bearing pads shall be 50 durometer hardness. c. All elastomeric bearings shall be molded as a single unit. d. Elastomeric Bearing Pads shall be in accordance with Section 237 VDOT Road and Bridge Standards, 2020. e. Steel reinforced laminated elastomeric bearing pads total Quantity = 112 i. Fixed Bearings = 42 ; ii. Expansion Bearings Total = 56 iii. Expansion Bearings with PTFE/Stainless Steel plate = 14
