Description

As of August 31, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A recommendation for reject is been process but that just about it at this time. For New Building for Jacksonville Water Works A cashiers check or bid bond payable to The City of Jacksonville, Alabama in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidders proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. Other physical or digital sets for general contractors, and sets for subcontractors and dealers, may be obtained with the same deposit, which will be refunded as above, less cost of printing, reproduction, handling, and distribution. PDF format documents will be provided only to registered plan holders. Note, however, that bids and construction contracts will be based on issued physical drawings, specifications, and addenda, if any. Architect assumes no liability for PDF transmission or conversion issues or errors. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board of General Contractors must be licensed under the provision of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Architect; the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 60 days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgement, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. Nonresident bidders must accompany any written bid documents with a written opinion of an attorney at law licensed to practice law in such nonresident bidders state of domicile, as to the preferences, if any or none, granted by the law of that state to its own business entities whose principal places of business are in that state in the lettering of any or all public contracts. Bonds required by the Contract Documents shall be issued by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the state of Alabama having a bond rating of at least A- according to Bests Key Rating Guide, without reinsurance or other agreements to enhance its rating. The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The value range is $650,000 - $700,000.
