Groundwater Test Well

The City of Cornelia ("Owner") is requesting proposals to select a qualified company ("Contractor" or "Proposer") to drill a groundwater test well at the water treatment plant (WTP). No proposal may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of sixty (60) days except as specifically may be provided by State law. Drill and develop one (1) groundwater well at the location shown on the drawings. The well is estimated to be approximately 600 linear feet deep with a 12" bore hole and 8" steel casing extending from two (2) feet above ground surface to five (5) feet into the first solid, unweathered, or impervious subsurface rock strata encountered. Construction of the test well shall be complete including steel casing, cement grouting, 72-hour pump test, water quality sampling,site access provisions, and all other appurtenances required to complete the test well. Time allotted for completion of work is thirty (30) calendar days. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Work will be awarded in one (1) Contract. The Work will be awarded in one (1) Contract/Purchase Order. The person constructing the test well shall be a licensed water well contractor in the State of Georgia in accordance with the provisions of the Water Well Standards Act of 1997 (O.C.G.A. 12-5-120).
