2023 Deer Park for Internet or WAN Service

The District seeks options for replacing an internet connection to the Clayton School building. Currently the building has a 50Mbps microwave connection routed thus: Fiber comes into Deer Park Elementary School and is routed through Acadia Elementary School to Deer Park High School where it is beamed by microwave to the Clayton School. The Main Distribution Frame (MDF) in the Clayton School building is in the center of the school and on the second floor. Currently there is no usable conduit from the public right of way on either Park Avenue or Swenson Rd/Division Street. All proposed solutions need to account for the cost to bring the connection directly to the MDF. The District would prefer that the route from pole to building is underground in conduit but would accept an arial solution, depending on design. The District would prefer a direct fiber connection between the Clayton School and Deer Park Elementary School but will accept proposals for any viable and cost-effective solution including the following: 1. Internet Access 2. Lit Fiber WAN service 3. Dark Fiber WAN service, including hardware 4. A self-provisioned WAN build, including hardware 5.
