DPW Salt Shed Roofing Project

The City of Norwalk is requesting bids for the replacing Department of Public Works salt shed roof. The City of Norwalk is requesting bids for the replacing Department of Public Works salt shed roof. The budget for this project is $70,000.00. 1. Remove (1) layer of asphalt shingles down to plywood. 2. Install GAF Weather Watch and ice/water weather barrier, 72 inches along lower roof edges and valleys. 3. Supply and install new step flashing as required. Step flashing will be replaced at the unit price as stated in the response form per step. 4. 4-inch self-adhering seam tape to all plywood seams. 5. Cover remaining wood with GAF Tiger Paw UV stabilized polypropylene underlayment. 6. Supply and install drip and rake edging on all outside and lower roof edges. 7. Once underlayment is completed, install GAF Timberline HDZ Lifetime architectural fiberglass shingles using 6 nails per shingle. 8. Close all hips and ridges, using GAF Timbertex hip and ridge caps. 9. If plywood is required, there will be an additional charge for labor as stated in the response form per sheet and 3/4 " exterior grade 4-ply plywood as stated in the response form per sheet. 10. If any further carpentry work is required, there will be an additional charge as stated in the response form per hour/per man, plus material. All work must be approved prior to start of work in writing.
