Description | * Per owner, this contract has been canceled. Rebid details pending. In general, the principal items of work under this Contract include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following: All work required to remove the existing piping, storage tanks, day tanks, pipe supports, pumps and equipment, equipment supports, as necessary, measure and layout the work, and replace same in the Sodium hypochlorite, Caustic soda and Zinc orthophosphate Rooms. Note existing pumps and equipment are to be reinstalled. All work required to layout and install a temporary chemical feed systems for the aforementioned chemicals. All work required to prepare and paint all steel surfaces. All work required to clean and prep the concrete and masonry surfaces and perform the required concrete/masonry repairs. o All work required to paint the aforementioned rooms in their entirety. Upon confirmation of proper operation by the Town of Newton Water & Sewer Utility staff, all work required to restore the site to its pre- work condition. Submission of Bid: All bids must be submitted on the bid proposal forms approved and provided for by the bid specifications in order to be considered. Bid proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, but not in excess of twenty thousand ($20,000) dollars, and made payable to the Town of Newton. Bidder Requirements: Bidder must comply with the requirements of NJSA 10:5-31 et seq., and NJAC 17:27. Other requirements as well as those described above are fully detailed in the bid document. Bidders shall familiarize themselves with the requirements of Article No. 28 (Substitutions) of the General Conditions as it pertains to the utilization of approved equal equipment or material. Bidders under this Contract shall follow, State guidelines for the minimum wage rates and conditions of employment. Completion Date: 120 Calendar Days. |
