Roofing - Tear off and Reroof Shingles on House and Garage: • Remove and dispose of all roofing and defective sheathing • Cut a 1” wide vent at ridge board • Replace up to 5 square feet of sheathing per 100 square feet of roof using pine board or CDX plywood of matching thickness • Staple 15lb felt • Install preformed white aluminum, drip edge, and vent pipe boots • Install a 220lb fiberglass asphalt, 3-tab architectural shingle with a 25 year warranty • Replace all flashing • Install shingle-over ridge vent. • Install to code Close-in Inspections will be required for roofing. Respondent must call the agency for inspection of all work that will be concealed from view before it is closed in. This type of inspection frequently includes, but is not limited to • Footings, roof sheathing and flashing prior to installation of new felt and shingles • Repaired framing and decking prior to installation of underlayment • Floor coverings prior to installation of drywall 2. HVAC – Replace Central A/C Unit • Submit manufacturer cut sheet and cooling load calculation for proposed equipment to owner at least 15 working days prior to install • Remove existing A/C equipment to legal dump • Install central A/C system with minimum EER of 8.6, including condensing unit, A type evaporator coils, control and power wiring, insulated freon lines, plenums, ext pad and necessary connections to create complete install. • Provide owner with factory warranty, manual, and 1-year contractor warranty
