Description | The City of Folsom Is Requesting Proposals From Qualified and Experienced Engineering Consultants to Provide Engineering Design Services and Construction Documents (Ps&e) for the Corporation Yard Fuel Station Aboveground Storage Tank Replacements and Fuel Management System Upgrade Project. The project will design and provide Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E). The purpose of this CORPORATION YARD FUEL STATION ABOVEGROUND STORAGE TANK REPLACEMENTS AND FUEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM UPGRADE is to analyze and design larger replacements for the existing aboveground fuel storage tanks at the City Corporation Yard. The proposed new storage tanks, which each may be installed at different locations within the corporation yard, shall have a minimum capacity of 18,000 gallons for unleaded gasoline, and 22,000 gallons for on-road diesel #2. This project will also include a replacement to the City's existing fuel management system. The fuel management system replacement will include new dispenser pumps and all controlling hardware, software, and tank monitoring for both the newly installed tanks at the City Corporation Yard and the existing fuel tanks at the City Fire Station 35, and all existing DEF dispensing systems. The new fuel management system is expected to leverage the power of technology to automate as many functions as possible, to include at a minimum the automatic authorization of fuel dispensing to, and data collection from, City vehicles and equipment. Provisions must exist to manually authorize non-City-owned vehicles to access fuel on an as-needed basis to support mutual aid agreements and emergency operations, including a provision to connect an external, back up power source and/or override to enable the function of the dispensers in the event of a main power supply or data connectivity loss. The existing storage and dispensing system to be replaced consists of the following: o 4,000 gallon single wall aboveground gasoline tank o 2,000 gallon single wall above ground diesel tank o Refilling plumbing for both tanks Monday September 12th, 2022 Issue Notice to Proceed The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. |
