Description | The MBE fair-share goal is 2.6% for construction and 5.2% for supplies, services, and equipment. The WBE fair share goal is 2.6% for construction and 5.2% for supplies, services, and equipment. The Town of Smyrna will accept bids on the BASINS A8 AND A9 SEWER REHABILITATION work will include: Approximately 2,575 L.F. of existing 8" sewer main rehabilitation with pipe bursting system; rehabilitation of approximately 2,200 L.F. of 10" gravity sewer upsized to 15" SDR 26 PVC Sewer Line by open cut; realignment of approximately 260 L.F. of 6" gravity sewer with 8" epoxy lined ductile iron pipe; sewer service line reconnections; 6- inch sewer service line replacement by pipe bursting and open cut; CIPP sewer service lining; replacement of 23 existing manholes and castings; installation of 6 new manholes and castings; approximately 12 V.F. of outside drop; pre- and post-construction video inspection; pavement repair; erosion control and appurtenances. The project shall be completed fully within one-hundred and eighty (180) consecutive calendar days. All bidders shall adhere to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act enacted in 1964 which states that "No person in the United States shall, on grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance", state of Tennessee funding, and/or funded by the Town of Smyrna. In addition, the Town of Smyrna will not discriminate in the purchase of all goods and services on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or any other lawfully protected classification. Bids may not be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening. The Town of Smyrna reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities or informalities and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town DAVIS-BACON ACT and AMERICAN IRON AND STEEL REQUIREMENTS This project is being funded by a State Revolving Fund loan on or after 2014 EPA Fiscal Year. The loan recipient must be in compliance with all applicable Davis-Bacon Act and American Iron and Steel requirements. All qualified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) firms desiring to bid as a General Contractor, sub-contractor, professional service provider, supplier, or equipment vendor are encouraged to contact the Nashville Minority Business Center office to review bidding/contract documents. Qualified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) firms may also contact {Name of the Engineer, office address, and phone number}, in order to obtain a list of prospective bidding General Contractors or to obtain copies of bidding/contract documents. |
