Description

The overall objective of this project is to update the water distribution system hydraulic model and asset evaluation system. It comprises the following: 1. Summarize the history of the metropolitan water system and develop an understanding of the interconnection between the MWRA regional water system and the BWSC distribution system. 2. Update the Geographical Information System (GIS) to contain more current information on BWSC’s water distribution assets. 3. Review past and current water demand and project demand through the year 2035. 4. Update BWSC’s distribution system hydraulic model to include up to date information on improvements and projected demand. Check calibration. 5. Update BWSC’s pipe condition ranking system to include up to date information on improvements and other factors.
