Description

This project, located in Anne Arundel County, is for the construction of modifications to the entrance and exit of the existing Wayson's Corner Park and Ride Lot in Lothian, Maryland. The proposed modifications improve rider safety by allowing for counterclockwise circulation of MTA buses within the Park and Ride Lot and relocating the existing bus shelter to the lot, for total of 0.30 miles. The work will consist of the following: (a) Widening of the existing entrance near Sta. 105+00. (b) Reconfiguration of the existing entrance near Sta. 114+50. (c) Construction of a bulb-out along NB MD 794 to allow for left-turning MTA buses. (d) Removal of twelve (12) parking spaces and associated re-striping. (e) Relocation of existing bus shelter, bench, and bicycle racks. (f) Addition of two (2) new inlets and associated pipes and outfalls. (g) Construction of a bioswale for stormwater management.
