Waste Water Treatment Plant Outfall Relocation Upland Phase

This project consists of construction of the upland portion of a new wastewater treatment plant outfall conveying treated effluent from the City’s wastewater treatment plant to Guemes Channel. Significant project elements include: Construction of a 48-inch diameter WWTP outfall from the WWTP to the end of U Avenue. Blasting and excavating rock for several hundred feet of the pipeline alignment at depths up to approximately 30 feet deep. Connection to the “WWTP Outfall Relocation - Marine Phase” outfall. Associated manhole structures. Selective demolition of existing piping and structures including asbestos concrete pipe. Roadway restoration. Testing and assistance during commissioning of new facilities. Connection of the new 48-inch pipeline to the existing 30-inch WWTP outfall. Surface restoration of the pipeline alignment. Payment of all associated taxes and fees. Limiting construction impacts to traffic and residences.
