FY 2019 NJDOT Trust Fund Reconstruction of Cherry Hill Boulevard Phase 2

The project consists of improvements to the Cherry Hill Boulevard between Monmouth Drive and Saratoga Drive in the Township of Cherry Hill, Camden County, NJ. Base Bid 1 Roadway Improvements. The roadway improvements will include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. The roadway improvements consist of pulverizing the existing roadway to necessary depth to achieve the proposed grade, injecting the 6" thick road mix base course with a Bituminous Stabilizing Agent and overlaying with 3" thick HMA 9.5M64 Surface Course. 2. The installation of concrete vertical curb, concrete sidewalk, concrete driveways, and other incidental work as directed by the Engineer. 3. The installation of ADA ramps at various locations as directed by the engineer. Separate payment will not be made for concrete sidewalk transition to the ramp, ramp landing, brick pavers, truncated domes, concrete base, concrete sidewalk, and 30 LF of concrete curb with the construction of the ramp. However, the cost shall be included in the unit price bid of the item "ADA Ramp". 4. The unit price bid for "ADA Ramp With Header Curb" shall include all of above in addition to 15 LF of concrete header curb behind the sidewalk. 5. All related incidental work, including earthwork, traffic control, dust control, soil erosion and sediment control, cleaning and restoration. 6. Reset manholes, castings, and vent/valve boxes. 7. Replace existing curb inlet head pieces with Eco Type "N" head pieces and existing inlet grates with bicycle safe grates. Base Bid 2: Consists of all work in Base Bid 1, except the roadway improvements shall consist of full depth reconstruction consisting of excavation of the existing roadbed and installing dense-graded aggregate base course, 6" thick, 4" thick HMA l 9M64 Base Course, and overlaying with 2" thick HMA 9 .5M64 Surface Course where indicated on the plans Add Alt No. 1: Consists of replacing the existing sanitary manholes and installing new sanitary manholes where indicated on the plans. Add Alt No. 2: Consists of replacing the existing storm water manholes and installing new stormwater manholes where indicated on the plans. The Township reserves the right to award Base Bid 1 or Base Bid 2 in addition to the Add Alt 1 or Add Alt 2 at their discretion, based on the available funds for this project prior to awarding the contract. Contractors are not required to bid both base bids and can bid just one. Construction of this project is anticipated to begin Spring 2020. Owner reserves the right to delay work, if necessary due to weather concerns. Extension of work shall not be cause for additional costs to the Owner, regardless of potential duplicate mobilization.
