Description | As of February 20th, 2023 this project is pending an award decision. Project includes construction of 8 competition-size pickleball courts within one complex at Bob Noble Park in Paducah, KY. Play surface will be constructed of a cast-in-place, post-tensioned concrete slab on-grade with pickleball court sport court surfacing/striping (USAPA-compliant), in-ground mounted nets and posts, chain link fencing, in-ground mounted pre-engineered shade canopies (tensioned fabric on steel frame), concrete sidewalks, new electrical service for sport court lighting, and sport court lighting. Project also includes moveable benches and removal of mature hardwood trees. A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder or a certified bank cashier’s check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. No other forms of security will be accepted. Failure to submit a bid bond or certified bank cashier’s check will result in disqualification of the bid. This Security is furnished to the Owner as a guarantee that the agreement will be executed and all bonds required shall be furnished within ten (10) days after award of the Contract to the undersigned. In accordance with KRS 45A.365, prior to a contract being awarded, a resident bidder of the Commonwealth shall be given a preference against a non-resident bidder registered in any state that gives or requires a preference to bidders from that state. The preference shall be equal to the preference given or required by the state of the non-resident bidder. The Contractor shall ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, religion, color, sex national origin, age, or disability. The City reserves the right to accept/reject Additive and/or Deductive Alternates in any order it deems appropriate regardless of cost or order in which they are listed within the Bid Documents. |
